Course Description
Icelandic 1 is a beginner course to teach beginner level vocabulary and grammar and is therefore aimed at people who are complete beginners in Icelandic. In this course students learn how to introduce themselves and others, greet people and to be able to participate in very simple conversations. Students will also be able to express their plans, ask questions and tell basic information from daily life such as what day it is or how much something costs. Students read, write and speak and a lot of emphasis is put on pronounciation and knowing most of the sounds that each letter can produce. At the end of the course, there is a test to revise and practise everything studied in the course. A book is included in the course. If a student is unsure which level they should attend, they can come to our office at Bolholt 6 and take a look at our books to see which level suits them best.
