At this point, it is expected that students have the basic tools for communication, so there is a strong emphasis on practicing conversational skills on various simple topics, such as hobbies, music, food, and more. There is also a significant focus on the past tense, requiring students to write a report each weekend about the main activities they engaged in, which they will then share in class. At the end of the course, there will be an exam to review and practice what has been learned, as well as a video project where students find a conversation partner and record discussions in Icelandic on a topic of their choice. A book is included in the course. If a student is unsure which level they should attend they can come to our office at Bolholt 6 and take a look at our books to see which level suits them best.

Material / Vocabulary:
Food, cleaning, timephrases in plural (on mondays etc.), movies, prepositions, sports, clothes, forms, music, folk stories and accomplishments along with various texts with varied vocabulary.

Grammar:
Past tense, dative case as the indirect object, word order, auxiliary verbs, plural forms, participles with the verbs að geta and að hafa and prepositions and grammatical cases.
Material / Vocabulary:
Clothes, dates and holidays, Indefinite pronouns (some, many etc.), the weather, forms, interests, health and the healthcare system and Icelandic places along with texts about various other topics.
