Course Description
Icelandic 4
In Icelandic Level 4, we continue to build on everything we have learned previously. There is a strong emphasis on practicing conversational skills; however, instead of discussing simple topics as in Level 3, students are now required to express their opinions on slightly more complex issues, such as whether it is better to take the bus or to ride a bicycle. Therefore, students need to provide arguments for their opinions and discuss these topics in class. We also continue to work on and expand students’ knowledge of the grammatical cases and when to use each one appropriately. Additionally, there is a focus on adjectives to enhance students’ ability to express themselves, including vocabulary and grammar aspects such as plural forms and the comparative forms (big, bigger, biggest). At the end of the course, there is a test to revise and practise everything studied in the course. A book is included in the course. If a student is unsure which level they should attend they can come to our office at Bolholt 6 and take a look at our books to see which level suits them best.
