Kristján has a bachelor degree in general linguistics and a master's in language technology from the University of Iceland. He has a passion for languages and speaks, among others, Icelandic, English, Danish, Swedish, Faroese, French, Dutch and Japanese. Kristján is also a musician and studied the clarinet at the Utrecht Conservatory in the Netherlands.
